Average?: Average depends on how much you drink and how much you loose by other means like sweating, breathing, and thru your gut. Recommended total daily water intake is 1 - 2 l.

12 L: As long as you are eating something during the day, your kidneys can excrete about 12l of free water in your urine. Everyone has their own maximum, and as we age and develop either kidney or other diseases, this number decreases. Drinking excessive water can make you seriously ill if your kidneys can't keep up.
