Wrist Arthroscopy: Complete ligament injuries can be difficult to treat. Always best to support ligament healing or repair a damaged ligament, but this is not always possible. Failing that, there are various "salvage" procedures including removal of bones or bone fusions. These surgeries are imperfect at best, if needed, so all in all it it imperative to have a wide ranging discussion with your treating physician.

Wrist ligaments vary: In their importance and function. At times findings seen arthroscopicaly may not be relevant to wrsit function, while at others they are vitally important. Ask your surgeon about thi and the discussion regarding opotins should follow. The condition of cartilage, arthritis and surrounding tissues is equally important as are your symptoms.
