Adenoidectomy: There are several reasons to get your adenoids out, also called an adenoidectomy. Most of the patients who undergo adenoidectomy are children. The number 1 reason for this surgery is nasal obstruction. Infection of the nose and sinuses is also common. In older patients, sometimes they will have a cyst or mass. These are less common.
