Frontal lobe: Sometimes injury to one frontal lobe is tolerated. Symptoms like depression are common, frequently apathy, or a symptom called inanition can seem like depression. Inability to plan or think through things or changes in judgment can occur. Parts of the frontal lobe are directly associated with mood and emotion, and can effect in ways beyond depression.
