What to do about my cut tongue?

Severe?: It depends on the severity if the cut. Because the tongue is highly vascularized, it will bleed a lot if the cut is deep and/or otherwise extensive. If you don't see much bleeding after 10 minutes, chances are the cut will heal itself. Conversely, if the bleeding is pooloing in the mouth and/or continues for more than 30 minutes, immediate treatment is indicated.

Nothing: A cut tongue will heal quickly. The tongue because of its excellent blood supply will heal very well so there is little to worry about.
