Cut/burn: You probably cut or burned your tongue. Should heal spontaneously. Salt water rinses may help. If not getting better in 2-3 days call your dentist.

Tongue hurts: It might be under your tongue as well and you might not be able to see the cause. Wait it out a few days or see your dentist if it persists or you want an answer sooner.
