Simple answer: The great news is that a specialist is probably not required to help you, at least not based on your description. Any well trained primary care doc should be the starting point for problems like yours. Taking a history, doing a thorough exam combined with great medical training should result in a good diagnosis and successful tx. At 40, you should find a single doc who can get to know you well.
