How can i tell if this is an abscess or canker sore? i've never had either and it's a small white/yellow pin sized bump under my gum that doesn't hurt. what should i do about it?

See your dentist!: Usually cankor sores or herpetic lesions will hurt terribly and the virus can spread so don't touch it! . Infection around teeth can form and try find a natural way to drain. A whitish/yellow bump may have a little hole in the middle through which pus drains. This is what you may be seeing. Either way, you need to find out what it is and have it treated. Go see your dentist.
