A member asked:

Suddenly my abscessed tooth stopped hurting. does that mean it does not have to be treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Absolutely Not: Your body has an amazing healing mechanism that constantly fights pain that arises. Your toothache is no different. Like the waves in the ocean, there will be periods of time when pain thresholds are below tolerable levels. Likewise, there will again be considerable pain as it surpasses those levels. Don't wait for the next painful attack. The next time may be worse. Treat the problem now!
