Infection: Deep abrasion vs. Laceration? If it is oozing it is either infection or should have been sutured or glued closed. Infections can spread very rapidly through tissue planes around the face and eye, and oral antibiotics might be indicated. Topical otc antibiotics could also be tried. At this point, it may be too late to repair. Might worry about a retained foreign body as well.
