What causes teary, itchy, reddish and painful eyes especially when it is cold, also light sensitivity. atimes difficult sleeping. are these allergy issues? if it's allergies, right treatment?

Often dry eyes can cause these symptoms, suggest preservative free tears 6-8 x per day, night time use of tear ointments for sleeping. In addition make sure that your are adequately hydrated with fluids, 3 liters per day for healthy females and 4 L per day for healthy males., only if your are not on water/fluid restrictions by your pcp.
