Sounds more allergy: Your symptoms sound more like allergies than flu. First, it's not usual time of year in canada, so that makes it unlikely. Second, you usually have very significant cough, body aches and fever with influenza - and you didn't describe any of these. It could also just be a summer cold with a virus, but does not fit influenza "flu" criteria.
