SEE BELOW: I'm not an expert on plantar fasciitis but i found wearing the old clark wallabees with thick gummy rubber soles or wearing sketcher rocker shoes has relieved the problem for me. Cortisone shots gave very temporary relief. Plantar fasciitis does not affect the knees directly but if your gait is abnormal to compensate for your foot pain your knees might hurt.

Plantar fasciitis: You can have knee pain for a reason other than plantar fasciitis. I assume the right foot has the fasciitis. You need to see your podiatrist . I find frequently that knee pain is alleviated with orthotics by getting 'things' aligned . So although I am not treating your knees, we get a nice side benefit from the orthotics. Good luck.
