Often times: Fractures, if they are stress type won't show for a week or 2. Bump could be many things from a soft tissue mass from injury or tendonitis with excessive swelling. I would get it checked by another x-ray and possible mri.

Scar tissue: There may be a scar tissue from your sprained ankle if not properly immobilized or treated. Glad to hear there isn't a broken bone or fracture, but scar tissue from an ankle sprain can have residual swelling and pain. You may need further treatment and advanced imaging (MRI) to determine other possible pathologies present. Hope this helps , best of luck!
