Fibroids: If you had a transvaginal sonogram and the uterus was normal at that time, it would be very unusual to develop fibroids that are symptomatic now. Still, a cyst can develop during that time and cause some symptoms. If you are concerned, you can see your physician and have this evaluated.

My pelvic US showed a simple cyst on ovary & a 0.9x0.3cm echogenic lobulated mass, likely representing endometrial polyp vs. intracavitary fibroid with trace free fluid. Is it possible the polyp is cancerous? My PCP ordered a stat referral gynecology?
44 yrs, pre-menopause. weight loss (almost 20 lbs in 2 months) fatigue, appetite loss. CT scan revealed bilateral adnexal cysts, enlarged uterus, pelvic fluid. Also diagnosed with probable fibroadenoma in left breast. Neg fibroids. What could it be?
