Crazy thoughts?: Having your mind racing with crazy thoughts is no fun. Stress can certainly cause responses like this; so can other things. You might talk with a psychologist or psychiatrist about how you're feeling -- you can get a good assessment that way, along with some personalized recommendations. This might include therapy sessions that can help you calm yourself, and/or medications for a time also.
