Relax: See if he can identify things that help him relax. Distraction or taking a break from stressful activities can help. Encourage him to take long slow deep breaths to relax. If he likes shoulder rubs you can give him one when he is stressed. A lot of times stress headaches are due to increased muscle tension in the shoulders and neck. Encourage him to see a counselor to change stressful thinking.
