PVC's: If they arise from the atrial tissue they are pac's. If they arise from the av node, they are pnc's, and if the arise from other areas of the ventrical they may appear different but are still premature ventricular contractions.

Multifocal: Pvc that are different morphologies indicate they are coming from different areas of the ventricle and are called multifocal pvcs. They can originate from the right or left ventricle.

PVC's: Pvc's may come from a different areas in the heart. Usually those with certain configurations on the ECG will help to differentiate from benign to those that need to be evaluated further. Those from the right and left ventricular outflow tract are usually benign. If in the setting of structural heart disease - prior heart attack/mi or congenital heart disease the prognosis may be different.
