My blood sugar is usually 90-96 before i eat dinner. i eat chicken and veggies and it goes down right after i eat to about 88? why not up?is this ok?

Normal Blood sugar: Yes. Of course this is normal. Why is a normal person testing their blood sugars? Especially if you do not understand how Insulin works when you eat? Blood sugars can fluctuate widely around meal times. Especially when they are not ill.
