TENS unit: If you suffer severe and intractable lower back pain with pain, numbness and tingling radiation down to your legs as a result of a lumbar disc herniation or severe spinal stenosis, tens unit won't help. Tens unit is designed to provide temporary pain/muscle spasm reliefs. If you have used tens for an extended period of time & the pain won't go away, you should consult a spine surgeon immediately.
