What happens to our bodies when we take prescirbed and otc medications unecesarily or not for their intended use?

Depends on variables: Some prescribed or otc meds have a rather safe general profile and do little harm. However, any drug that is strong enough to be effective when used appropriately, may be strong enough to do significant damage when used wrong. Some individuals also can have an unexpected toxic reaction to any medication and die from a single dose.
