Probably not.: probiotics would probably not help in this situation, unless perhaps the overused prescription medicine you're referring to was an antibiotic. In that situation only, probiotics such as Lactobacillus or Saccharomyces may help. Good luck.

Yogurt: The first thing to do is make certain that you do not have Clostridium difficile colitis and that you are treated for it if you do. If not, then use a cup of unpasteurized yogurt two or three times a day and this will help reconstruct your colonic flora.
