BP meds and BP: At your age, 50, your systolic BP is too high if it is > 140 mm hg. You should speak to your doctor about increasing your ramipril to the maximum dose of 20 mg/day or adding another drug. See if you can get your BP down by losing weight and/or exercising more. If you smoke, please stop and try to avoid excess amounts of sodium intake. Remember, a BP of 145 is not a good one to have.
