Ramipril and BP: Yes, ramipril is one of the drugs of the ace-i family and is an effective for lowering blood pressure. The hope study was published earlier showing it was effective not only lowering bp, but also reducing cardiovascular complications of hypertension. The response to its lowering BP and proteinuria (p) is dependent on its dosing. The higher the dose the more BP and p is reduced. Ask your doctor.
