It can be: Almost anything in moderation and balanced with exercise and water can be used to loose weight. There are no magic buttons. Consider that 3500 calories added to your dirt will add one pound of weight. In other words, if you cut out drinking two cans of soda a day at 250 calories each, that would be 500 cal/day or 3500cal/wk. You would loose a pound each week, without doing anything else.
