Is the hep b titer just drawing blood and sending it to a lab to test or is there another part to it (i heard there is a surface antigen test as well)?

Hepatitis B Testing: Yes. These are simple blood tests. Nothing to worry about. Given your age you were most likely vaccinated as a baby to hepatitis b. These started in the early 1980s for all children and was one of the mandatory childhood vaccinations.
