HIV testing: Hiv testing is both for routine and urgent reasons. Any HIV positive mother will get better and appropriate care the earlier their diagnosis is known. The whole goal in that situation is to prepare all prevention so that the baby does not get infected. If there is acute risk then there is a test that can be done 21 days after exposure that can diagnose hiv!
