They are not: The symptoms of cancer are always somewhat varied. In this regard cervix cancer does what cancers in general do. They bleed(abnormal bleeding) and there is a growth of a tumor on the surface of the cervix which can be easily seen by a doctor(on pelvic examination). When there is a growth, we do a biopsy and cancer can be easily seen under the microscope. So there is nothing confusing about it
