A member asked:

Cold, abdominal pain, reflux after eating spicy food. should i get some tums (calcium carbonate) or something?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on severity: If you have occasional "heart burn" you may get away with antacids. However, it would be prudent to get examined to ascertain the cause and extent of reflux as it can lead to esophageal lesions. If you are overweight, losing weight will help.
