Is a blood calcium result of 11.0 of concern considering quite a few tums (calcium carbonate) were ingested during the night before the test were ingested for reflux?

High calcium: You may want to check your lab normal reference range. Our lab has 8.5to10.2. If you took Tums (calcium carbonate) last night, it can be one reason. I think you should repeat the test with out taking tums (calcium carbonate). If it is still high then you need work up for hypercalcemia. Please see your doctor . Thanks.
