A few days off: Expect some discomfort bordering on pain, but it should be controllable with pain medication. Expect puffiness or swelling of your cheeks and neck, but this should be minimal. Expect limitations on what you can eat, drink, and do with your mouth for 3-4 days. Expect to be a little tired for a day or two after, and expect to take it easy for 2-3 days minimum to let the healing get a good start.

Depends: Depends on the patient. However, expect to have discomfort and swelling for at least a few days. Usually patients may take 2-3 days off work to recover. Expect to be on a liquid diet for a couple days and a soft diet for the rest of the week. Hope your procedure runs smooth. Good luck.

Oral surgeon: Too complex to completely answer here. For best results, see a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon for exam/recommendations/treatment.
