Depends: Depends. Uppers vs lowers. Impacted vs erupted. More of a problem at your age. You need to see an oral surgeon who will examine your and give you all the details that apply to your case.

Relatively painless: Fortunately, modern anesthetics allow wisdom teeth surgery to be done virtually pain-free. The actual procedure should be virtually pain-free and worry free.

Depends: A consultation with the dentist or surgeon performing your surgery would be the best person to provide you with the answer. Some patients elect to have their teeth removed just with local anesthesia, while others prefer to be sedated or asleep. Your mouth will be numb regardless. You can expect to have some swelling, bleeding, possible bruising, possible limited opening afterwards.

Complex: Complex question. Depend on many variables including number and position of teeth, age, associated medical problems. For best results, make sure you are evaluated and treated by a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon. You will have a very thorough explanation.

It can vary : Your recovery after wisdom tooth extractions depend on how difficult the extraction is and now you personnally heal and handle pain. Your oral surgeon can answer this for you specifically, but you cnaexpect that there will be be moderate pain and some difficulty opening and chewing for a few days.

Painless: wisdom teeth may sound like an oxymoron, but new techniques and advanced anesthesia are making it a reality for many patients. It helps you to eliminate future complications and improve your general health and quality of life.
