It's not acceptable!: Swallowing chewing gum is very common problem, almost a habit for some people. You will need to be very careful doing that obviously it is a good idea to stop eating gums. There are several reasons why it is not safe. You are absolutely right thinking that the abdominal pain may directly related to the issue. If you feel that the pain is constant and isn't going away soon, check with doctor.
