Saline nose drops: Use saline nose drops in your child's nose and then suction the mucous with a bulb syringe to help with nasal congestion. Babies don't mind too much if their nose runs, but they get very fussy if they can't breathe through their noses! use a cool mist humidifier. You should not give any over-the-counter cold medicine to a baby without a doctor's recommendation.
