A member asked:

If ultrasound was done and found nothing could the problem be gastro?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Abdominal pain caused by gastritis/enteritis will most often not be detected on ultrasound. Crohn's disease, diverticulitis of the colon, and severe colitis (such as may seen with pseudomembranous colitis) can sometimes be detected by a good ultrasonographer.
