Sounds like TMJ: Dysfunction. If left undiagnosed and untreated will no doubt cause future problems down the road. Depending on etiology, best to be evaluated by an orthodontist / oral surgeon / dentist. Hope this helps.

Yes: However, early intervention is important as well as finding a dentist who has extensive training and knowledge in treating patients with tmd (temporomandibular joint dysfunction). Many dentist merely make a night guard without truly being able to evaluate the contributing factors and combining various treatment modalities to obtain the best end result.

Disc needs repositio: Due to the disc being to far forward there is a click when you open your jaw. To stop the click we use a plastic template to distract your upper condyle down which makes room for the disc which eliminates the click. Posture and jaw position correlate to each other so you must treat both to have long term stability.
