Inflammation: Gingivitis? Periodontitis? Can't tell over the internet. You should be examined by a local dentist for pocketing or an abscess.

Abscess: Can cause it too. Your dentist will take an x-ray which is a diagnostic tool to see which tooth /teeth and bone area are involved. See your dentist asap because it is a sign of infection.
