Nasal piercings: The inside of the nose is very sensitive. There are a lot of nerve endings in the nose. Having the septum pierced is likely to be quite painful. In terms of the dangers or risks of such a piercing, there are risks of infection and bleeding. If a piercing were to get infected, it could cause the cartilage of the septum to essentially dissolve, which could lead to a nasal deformity inside & out.
