Treatment: Your question is really impossible to answer without any information regarding the current condition of your teeth, what treatment you have had, and what you do at home to help your situation. Seek a second opinion from a local periodontist who can get all this info and render an opinion. All the best...

Do not know: I am assuming your dentist or hygienist told you that you have periodontal disease. The treatment varies with the severity and progression of gum disease. Mild periodontal disease can be simply managed by your dentist and hygienist, however, advancing gum disease will require the intervention of a periodontist. Most importantly...Do not ignor this problem, it will not go away on its own. Best!

PerioProtect works : A dentist trained in the use of this non-invasive system may be able to slow down your periodontal bone loss and in some situations actually tighten teeth that have loosened. Periodontal disease has many factors, but bacterial reduction on a daily basis using perioprotect trays filled with special low concentration peroxide has been shown to be very effective. I personally use this system.
