A member asked:

Is there anything that can cause a ct scan not to be able to see my pelvic organs?

CT scans: Ct scans can be very insensitive in evaulating pelvic organs due to the crowded nature of the pelvis, as well as the surrounding bones (the pelvis itself). Mri and ultrasound are better at characterizing the pelvic organs.

Depends on organ: Ct of pelvis can not see ovaries very well. Usually uterus can be visualized. Bladder and rectum are ordinarily seen. Mr and ultrasound are better for uterus and ovaries.
