I had a heart cath one year ago that was normal. how long are cath results good for? years? months? thanks

No telling: Several years for a significant plaque to form. Cath should only be done when there is a significant chance of heart disease, not as a matter of routine.

Depends: The risk factors such as smoking, cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes, rare stuff and family history. For heart attacks one usually needs two risk factors not only one. With bp, chol, diabetes it depends if they are controlled or uncontrolled. The cath is usually good until new symptoms arrive. Always check with your doc.
