Not to worry: What you are describing is not out of the ordinary. It sounds like trauma to a minor salivary gland. In time ( several months) it will likely resolve on its own. If it does not, please bring it to the dentists attention at your child's first dental visit. Be well!

Mucocoel: Sometimes the channels that dump the mucous made in the skin of your mouth gets blocked by scaring.A bleb full of mucous called a mucocoel can develop. It may empty spontaneously or more need removal. I send my kids to the ent's when i find them.
