Pain on Ball Foot: Sorry to hear. There could be many reasons, one of which is a plantar plate ligament tear/ sprain. The plantar plate is the ligament that holds the toes down with other ligaments and tendons. Repetitive microtrauma can cause swelling and pain when pressure is applied. Other causes could be metatarsalgia (genetic term for forefoot pain), neuroma, stress fracture, etc. Hope this helps!

Could be a number: Of things, see a podiatrist in your area. Could be neuroma, plantar plate tear, sprai etc so best to get checked.
