Painful Menses: Painful menses (dysmenorrhea) is usually caused by prostaglandin hormones in an ovulatory cycle. However, other causes might include a fibroid, polyp, or adenomyosis (endometriosis of uterus). You could try NSAID meds like Ibuprofen for pain and bleeding - if better then get check with next pap exam. We have tests to find growths so see doc for eval. No need to be in pain or worry.
