The jock in him?: The most common red itchy rash in the genital area would be a fungal infection. Other causes of rash can be a drug reaction (either from something spread in the area to which he is allergic or a fixed drug rash from something taken internally). Auto-immune diseases can sometimes cause groin rashes as can some sexually transmitted ds. Try otc lotrimin (clotrimazole) and if no response, see your doctor.
