A 16-year-old male asked:
how many calories does one burn if swimming for 2 hours, and does swimming build muscle or just tone it?

Calories & exercise: It is impossible to answer your question accurately. The amount of calories burned in an activity just has too many possible variables.
But, swimming is an excellent exercise for mind, body, and spirit. Keep it up.

How many times per day should my baby eat, and how should I deal with any feeding problems?

When they are hungry: As infants you should feed your baby whenever they are hungry. Generally this is every 2-3 hours. As they get bigger they will eat more with each feeding and the time between will lengthen. But even 3 and 4 mo babies will eat every 3 hours or so during the day. Count number of wet diapers if there are not 6-8 daily see your dr. If you are concerned about any feeding problems see your dr.

I've had pain and problems with my low back for many years. What can I expect from myspine surgery?

Depends....: There are many types of back surgery for many different back conditions so answering specifically will be difficult; however, generally you can expect to be up and walking within 1-2 days after surgery. You'll also likely be limited in the amount of bending/twisting you are allowed to do, maybe even in a back brace. Pain/discomfort should be expected but diminishing. You may also have a catheter.

Not usual for disk: With the muscular atrophy and neuritis, it might be best to undergo further testing.
There are many possible causes, including diabetes, autoimmune, endocrine, to mention a few.
At your age, a complete workup is indicated.
