See below: Amyloid is best treated when you know whether is secondary to a medical condition that you can treat or primary which is treated differently. If you have not seen a hematologist/oncologist, i would recommend that you do so as they can do a workup to best determine the course of therapy. Hope that helps.

Depends: Depends on variety. If immunoglobulin-related or if abnormal protein related any underlying disease (e.g., myeloma or rheumatoid arthritis) should be treated. Otherwise, low dose Colchicine (with precautions) is very effective.
