A member asked:

Is a respiratory and sinus infection different from the flu /virus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Influenza virus can cause respiratory tract symptoms and can produce changes that may lead to secondary sinus infections. You are talking apples and oranges. One is the causative agent of infection and the others are the anatomic sites and symptoms which may occur.
