Photosensitvity: Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) is a sulfa antibiotic which makes you photosensitive and may cause rashes or a sunburn easily while on it. This can occur even with less than 30 minutes of sun exposure for some people. Wear sunscreen and sun protective clothing and stay out of the sun as much as possible while on bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim).
