Yes you can: Cancer of the spine can involve the spinal cord or the vertebrae surrounding it. It can be due to a primary tumor or spread from a cancer elsewhere in the body. Common symptoms include pain, numbness, muscle weakness and difficulty walking. Pain is the most common symptom and often wakes the patient from sleep.

Cancer of spine: Yes. It can arise from the structures of the spine (bone, nerves etc..) or it can be from a distant site - called metastatic. Symptoms may be pain, sudden fracture, weakness, loss of bowel or bladder control. Sometimes there are no symptoms until a nerve injury type picture is seen.
